GearBots Chilliwack Program to Relocate in September 2025

Abbotsford, B.C. – GearBots Education announces that its Chilliwack-based program will be relocating as of September 2025. This change follows the University of the Fraser Valley's (UFV) decision to discontinue access to the current space used by the program.

While we are disappointed by this development, we respect UFV’s decision and remain fully committed to providing engaging, high-quality STEM learning experiences for youth in our community. Our team is actively exploring new venue options that will support the delivery of our popular hands-on robotics and engineering programs.

“We’re grateful to UFV for the support they’ve provided over the years,” says Dereck Dirom, GearBots Program Coordinator. “This transition gives us an opportunity to grow and evolve, and we’re confident that our next location will allow us to continue inspiring the next generation of innovators.”

Looking ahead, GearBots is seeking a long-term facility partner in Chilliwack that aligns with our mission and can support our expanding STEM programs. We welcome any serious location suggestions or sponsorship interest from organizations that share our passion for youth education.

We will continue to keep families and community partners informed as updates become available. We are sincerely grateful for the ongoing support of parents, students, and the broader Chilliwack community during this period of change.
